Setting up the Config PPP
Back to Main Support Page
Click on the Apple icon upper left corner, highlight Control Panel, then select ConfigPPP, then click the Config....
Enter in ssmnet in the PPP Name, enter in 57600 for the Port Speed, enter the phone number for
your area, area code first,
See List for the phone number in your area, Click on Authentication.
Enter in your userid, example userid@ssmnet.net, then password,
then click OK, then done, Close window to finish.
Click on the Apple icon upper left corner, highlight Control Panel, then select MacTCP setup, highlight PPP, then click
on More.
Select class A, and set Obtain Address by Server, then enter in ISP's DNS. Click OK when done.
To Connect to the internet click on the Apple icon upper left corner, highlight Control Panel, select Control
Panel, click ConfigPPP, then click on open.
